Teen driver safety week

This week is designated as Teen Driver Safety Week across the country. And although this is not really a surprise, new statistics report that motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among 15- to 20-year-olds. In Illinois we got the graduated drivers license that limits passengers we can have in the car which helps on the distraction end of driving, but also guys, stay off the cell phones, use seat belts, don't drink, although I do not know any of my friends that do, and don't speed or do stupid things like pass farm tractors on curves, this is harvest season. Leave a little early for school, or to your game.

Just wanted to remind all my friends and everyone else, don't be reckless with your life in a car or truck.

Here is a great example of what you see out there now, this was tonight on my way home from practice. Slow tractor, however a double yellow line which means a no passing zone, and to top it off a hill. How many would try it? No, I did not, I waited until I went over the hill and out of the no passing zone to pass. I hope everyone else that is out there driving would have done the same.
