At 2:30 this morning I ended up here with my youngest child, and we are still here. Nothing life threatening, but not a way either of us wanted to spend the night.

]Thank you Dan. Last night about 9, Beckham was in one of the barns after he went to check on his cows. He dropped his phone in the corner of the barn near a pile of wood, and when he reached his hand down to get it, he felt a sting and thought it was a nail. but then saw a spider moving around. About 1:45 this morning Beckham came to my bedroom and said he felt sick, when I got up I saw a red streak running up his arm from his hand, which meant in infection, so I rushed him to the emergency room.
They have admitted him and are giving him iv's of antibiotics, a pretty strong does. If the infection does not spread anymore, and the Dr thinks the drugs are working, Beckham can come home later today.
From all the description, it sounds like Beckham was bitten by a brown recluse spider, rare but they are in Illinois. The bites are poisonous and can cause serious skin damage.
Beckham is taking this with a sense of humor though, it is one of his defenses when is scared.
I think we will be fine, but will let you know later today.

Yes Natan, he has his phone and is in a private pediatric room, so you may call him. Caden and his sister, already spoke to him. This afternoon though I will keep his phone so he can get some rest.
