| Today was good news for all of us in Illinois that farm and grow crops. The USDA delcared all 102 counties in Illinois Agriculture Disasters because of the amount of rain we had, along with bad weather. This will reduce our corn crop this year and many farms had to write off a loss. We usually have 800 acres total and this year my parents had to write off about 350 as a loss. Here is the article below.
The USDA has declared an agriculture disaster in all 102 Illinois counties.
The Secretarial Disaster Declaration will provide federal resources including low-interest emergency loans from the Farm Service Agency, to help farmers recovering from extreme weather earlier this year.
The declaration was announced Thursday in response to a request from Governor J.B. Pritzker in early July.

| At least you guys might get a little money for the crop loss, cause I know insurance will not pay for the total worth of the corn you lost. A lot of farms around here had to plant beans instead of corn this year since beans will be ready to harvest quicker and the corn would have been to late to get in. | |

| I am glad our Governor worked on getting us aid for Illinois. I know a lot of farms had their entire crop washed out and have nothing to plant. Glad you guys got in at least a little more than half of your crop Talyn!! | |

| Let's hope that this weather is not something we are going to have to take a hit on each spring. I also hope no farms fold over the loss they had, but kudo's to USDA and our Governor for getting Illinois some help!! | |
